															My Journey in Quilting Education
When I bought my first longarm machine there was no training available in South Africa. My learning curve was steep, based entirely on trial and error and what I could learn from books. Those early days were challenging, but they gave me invaluable insight into the struggles that new longarm quilters face.
Through years of practice, experimentation, and continuous learning, I developed expertise in free motion quilting techniques. What started as a personal journey to master my craft evolved into a deep passion for helping others avoid the same struggles I experienced.
I now have a wealth of practical experience in free motion quilting and genuine enthusiasm for passing on my knowledge to other quilters. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a student’s confidence grow as they master new techniques and create beautiful quilted pieces they’re proud of.
My teaching philosophy is simple: make learning accessible, supportive, and enjoyable. Whether you’re taking your first steps in free motion quilting or looking to refine advanced techniques, I’m here to guide you with patience, expertise, and encouragement.
